Mini Riders

​

Designed especially for young horse lovers aged 3 to 16, our Mini Riders program offers a gentle, engaging introduction to the world of horses. With a strong focus on safety, confidence, and fun, this program is perfect for beginners and early learners.

 

Sessions include hands-on horse care, grooming, and supported riding tailored to each child’s age and ability. Our coaches use age-appropriate games and mounted activities to develop balance, coordination, and trust—laying the foundation for confident, happy riders.

 

Progression techniques include:

 

  • Ground to Saddle: building comfort with horses before mounting

  • Mini Milestones: small, achievable goals to encourage progress and confidence

  • Play-Based Learning: obstacle courses, pony games, and themed sessions for younger children

Mini Riders grow at their own pace in a nurturing, supportive environment—making early horse experiences safe, joyful, and memorable.

​

Running every Saturday and Sunday 9-10.30am. 

$50 per class or $450 for a 10 pass package.

Mini Riders Intermediate

This class is designed for children who are confidently riding at a steady canter and beginning to develop control over more technical skills. This group builds on core riding foundations while introducing more refined techniques in pole work, grid work, and light jumping. Riders will begin to explore aspects of competitive disciplines such as showjumping, dressage, and cross-country in a supportive, skill-building environment.

 

This class is ideal for those who have progressed through Mini Riders or have equivalent experience. Each rider will be assigned one horse or pony for the session.

 

If you’re unsure whether your child meets the criteria for this level, please reach out via phone or email for guidance. For safety reasons, riders not yet ready for this level may not be able to participate.

 

Program Activities May Include:

 

  • Flatwork and transitions for balance and control

  • Introduction to dressage movements and patterns

  • Pole grids and cavaletti to improve rhythm and focus

  • Small course showjumping practice

  • Cross-country technique training (in a controlled environment)

  • No-stirrups balance and posture sessions

  • Groundwork and horse care theory (grooming, tacking up, bandaging)

  • Confidence-building team riding games and relays (mounted games)

Mini Riders Advanced Group

Mini Riders advanced is suitable for children riding independently at a canter pace and above. This class focuses on progression to pole work, exploring disciplines such as showjumping, dressage and cross country. Using standard running mini riders is a great way to progress into this class. One horse or pony will be allocated to each child for the duration of this session. 

​

Please call or email if you are unsure whether the rider meets the requirements for this class as due to the nature of the class if the rider is not ready they will not be able to partake due to safety requirements. 

​

Runs Thursdays 3.45-5.15 and Saturday 2-3.30pm

$60 or $450 for a full term.

Private Lessons

​

Our Private 1:1 Lessons offer a completely personalised equestrian experience for riders aged 3 and up. Whether your child is brand new to horses or looking to refine advanced riding skills, these sessions provide focused, individual instruction tailored to their goals and comfort level. Also available to adults!

 

Each lesson includes a combination of groundwork, horse care, and riding, with progression at the rider’s own pace. Perfect for building confidence, mastering technique, or addressing specific areas of development.

 

Progression techniques include:

 

  • Tailored Skill Development: from leading and grooming to walk, trot, and advanced control

  • Confidence-Based Approach: structured support to help nervous or new riders feel safe

  • Goal-Oriented Progress: tracking milestones and introducing new challenges gradually

  • Full Horse Experience: involvement in grooming, tacking up, and post-ride care

 

 

These lessons are ideal for riders who thrive with one-on-one attention and want to deepen their connection with horses in a calm, supported environment.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

​

Designed for children aged 5 to 16. Our After School Club blends fun, learning, and hands-on horse time in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether your child is completely new to horses or already confident in the saddle, this club encourages progressive learning through structured yet playful sessions.

 

Participants start with core foundations such as grooming, leading, and basic horse care. As they build confidence, they progress through mounted exercises including balance games, steering skills, trot transitions, and introductory patterns. More experienced riders explore poles, obstacle courses, and groundwork communication, all while developing empathy, responsibility, and teamwork.

 

Progression techniques include:

 

  • Groundwork to Saddle: learning body language and horse cues before riding

  • Balance and Control Games: improving posture and steering through mounted challenges

  • Skill Ladder: gradual progression from walk to trot and patterns

  • Horse Care Milestones: developing independence in grooming, tacking up, and feeding routines

 

 

This after-school adventure promotes confidence, competence, and connection—on and off the horse!

Home School Group

​

Created for children aged 5 to 16, the EquiKids Homeschool Group offers a rich, hands-on equestrian learning experience designed to complement home education. This program blends physical activity, emotional development, and practical life skills in a safe, engaging environment—perfect for homeschoolers seeking outdoor, real-world learning.

 

Sessions are structured to allow flexible progression, starting with horse safety, grooming, and basic handling. As confidence grows, children are guided through introductory riding skills such as posture, balance, steering, and simple patterns. The program also integrates horse care, anatomy, and groundwork, offering a complete equine education.

 

Progression techniques include:

 

  • Interactive Learning Modules: integrating equine topics with science, anatomy, and animal care

  • Ground to Saddle Progression: developing trust and communication before riding

  • Skill-Based Challenges: tailored to each child’s level, moving from walk to trot, then pole work

  • Reflective Horsemanship: encouraging emotional awareness and connection through horse observation and journaling

PRIVATE GROUP

Ideal for siblings, friends, or learning buddies aged 5 to 16, our Private Group format offers a focused and personalised equestrian experience. With just 2 riders, 1 dedicated coach, and 2 well-matched horses, each session is tailored to individual goals while encouraging teamwork and shared learning.

 

These small-group lessons allow for close attention to technique, rider confidence, and progress at a comfortable pace. Riders begin with groundwork and horse care, then move into mounted exercises based on their current skill level—whether that’s learning to walk independently, mastering trot transitions, or refining pole work and patterns.

 

Progression techniques include:

 

  • Individual Goal Setting: each rider works toward personal milestones within the shared lesson

  • Buddy Challenges: cooperative activities that build confidence, communication, and fun

  • Progressive Skill Focus: tailored exercises in balance, posture, transitions, and control

  • Hands-On Horse Care: learning to groom, tack up, and handle horses with increasing independence

Private Showjumping Lessons

 

Come with your own Horse or Pony or use ours.

 

I have competed internationally whilst based in the UK up to 1m50 level from my own yard. I also spent years based with Michael Whitaker (UK Olympic Show Jumper) training both on competitive strategy and bringing along young horses whilst representing his stable. I worked as a showjumping specialist coach for over 7 years and have knowledge in all aspects of the sport, from grid work, conditioning, fitness maintenance, course building, jump of strategies and more. If you are looking to explore the sport we can start from poles on the ground and go from there! Suitable for all levels.

School Holiday Camp

​

Open to children and teens aged 5 to 18, our School Holiday Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM and offers a full day of horse-filled adventure, learning, and fun. Perfect for beginners through to confident riders, this camp provides a dynamic mix of equestrian activities, horse care, and outdoor play—all in a safe, supportive environment.

 

Campers are grouped by age and experience, with progression built into each day. Activities include grooming, leading, mounted games, basic to advanced riding skills, horse-themed crafts, and team challenges. Each rider is encouraged to build at their own pace, gaining confidence and new abilities with every session.

 

Progression techniques include:

 

  • Daily Skill Focus: new themes each day (e.g. balance, steering, trot transitions)

  • Confidence Builders: games, obstacle courses, and partner challenges to promote trust and control

  • Hands-On Learning: daily routines in feeding, grooming, and care to build independence

  • Mini Milestones: personalised tracking of rider progress from groundwork to saddle

 

 

Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle, sun protection, and enclosed shoes.

FAMILY RIDE

​

Perfect for a shared adventure, the Family Ride is designed for up to 4 riders of any age or ability to enjoy horses together in a relaxed, private session. Whether it’s parents and kids, siblings, or extended family, this experience blends fun, connection, and learning—no prior horse experience needed.

 

Led by an experienced coach, each ride includes a gentle introduction to horse handling, grooming, and a calm, guided ride suited to everyone’s level. The focus is on creating memorable moments while learning the basics of horsemanship in a safe and supportive setting.

 

Progression techniques include:

 

  • Shared Learning: riding and groundwork adapted to suit individual and group abilities

  • Confidence at Your Pace: walk-only rides with optional trotting as comfort grows

  • Team Bonding: collaborative grooming, leading, and riding activities

  • Mini Challenges: optional family games on horseback to build coordination and fun

Pony Parties

​

Make their special day unforgettable with an EquiKids Birthday Party! Perfect for horse-loving kids or adults, this 3-hour party is packed with fun, learning, and pony magic in a safe, friendly setting.

 

Guests will enjoy a mix of hands-on horse activities including grooming, leading, and pony rides, plus interactive games and time to celebrate. Parties can be tailored to suit different ages and group sizes, with options for themed activities or relaxed free play with the ponies.

 

Progression techniques are gently included through:

 

  • Intro to Horses: learning to approach, pat, and groom with guidance

  • Confidence in the Saddle: pony rides with fun games to build balance and trust

  • Interactive Fun: team relays, obstacle courses, and pony decorating through chalk painting (optional)

 

 

You’re welcome to bring your own food, cake, and decorations.

We’ll provide the ponies, helmets, and a whole lot of horsey fun!
