MINI RIDERS
Mini riders is the perfect group class for little ones starting out. It's age appropriate and supportive, we use smaller and very quiet ponies and use play based riding to learn. Expect musical statues, follow the leader, around the world, saddle games and more.
They learn how to hold their reins, use their leg aids to move their ponies and learn how to stop. We also explore trotting on the lunge line or on the lead line and learn how to rise to the trott.
Suitable for children from age 3 and above.
When - Saturday 9am-10.30am
Price - $60 or $500 for 10 passes (to be used at any time) This is inclusive of the Pony Parade classes and tokens can be used for both activities.
PONY PARADE
A leadline trail ride for youngsters to explore our 80 acre property in a safe and relaxing way. Bring the family for a morning walk, bring the dog on a lead, and enjoy the views as we ride around with the kids in the saddle. We will see some magical birds, ride amongst the cattle and start the day in a magic way.
Suitable for children from age 3 and above.
When - Sunday 9am-10am
Price - $60 or $500 for 10 passes (to be used at any time) This is inclusive of Mini Riders classes and tokens can be used for both activities.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Our private lessons are suitable for all levels of riders and can be tailored to your individual desires. We have access to 19 horses and ponies in our herd of all different talents and natures and through private lessons we can tailer the learning experience individually to your child.
If you are over 18 we also offer private lessons through Ballina Equestrian Centre - link below.
These sessions are 1 hour and can be booked depending on availability listed online with your desired coach.
Price - $90 for a single session, $400 for 5 lessons and $750 for 10 lessons.
PRIVATE GROUP
Our private groups run in the same design as our private lessons but are designed for two riders. Perfect for siblings or friends wishing to ride together.
If you are over 18 we also offer private lessons through Ballina Equestrian Centre - link below.
These sessions are 1 hour and can be booked depending on availability listed online with your desired coach.
Price (inclusive of both riders) - $160 for a one session, 700 for 5 lessons and $1200 for 10 lessons.
TRAIL AND BEACH RIDES
We offer onsite trail rides around our 85 acre property. Come ride within the cattle, explore the sounds on horseback and experience a real sense of magic. Video link below -
These sessions are 1 hour and can be booked depending on availability listed online under Trail Ride.
Price $100 per trail ride.

EQUINE HOME SCHOOL AND NATURE PROGRAM
This class welcomes our local home school families to join our new home school program. This course of course involves all things Equestrian, but also much more. Each week we will start by catching, preparing and riding the horses and ponies. Learning control, progressing through the pases and exploring all disciplines of the equine riding world, from dressage, showjumping, western riding, trail riding and more.
Additionally we will also explore the very important side of equine care, from grooming and basic first aid to stable maintenance, tack and feed.
A big part of this course will also be understanding the business and how we operate. We will go through the financial aspect, learn how to create classes and courses, how to market them and role play client facing scenarios.
We will also be joined by specialists such as vets, farriers, local wildlife rangers and farmers to learn and explore more about the land we are working on and the outside support needed to care for our herd.
When - Wednesday 9.30am-1pm
Price - $700 (Term course only) 10 weeks.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Our after school club offers all things Equine into an after school activity. We go through progressive riding skill sets, confidence building, explore the property on horseback, learn each discipline, do a monthly muster and more. This course opens the eyes to every aspect of the equine sport. We always start with horse preparation and end with horse care.
This is a fun, but equally progressive course for those wishing to learn to ride.
When - Tuesday 3.45-5.15
Price - $600 (Term course only) 10 weeks.
WESTERN RIDING CLINIC
Our western clinic explores all things western riding. We exclusively use western trained horses and ponies and ride in the classic Australian stock saddles and western saddles.
We learn the world of camp drafting, barrel racing, mustering cattle, western dressage and experience real world riding across the land.
In addition we also explore western tack, the history of the Australian musters, stations and camp drafting world.
This course is perfect for the young cowboys and cowgirls wishing to explore this traditional way of riding in a fun and social setting.
When - Wednesday 3.45-5.15pm
Price - Price - $600 (Term course only) 10 weeks.
EQUIKIDS PATHWAY TEAM TRAINING
This is a pathway class for those looking to join our Ballina EC team. This class is fully focused on progression. Riders must be pre assessed to join this pathway for safety reasons. Riders must be riding at a canter independently with a strong seat.
This is a focus on solidifying the skill sets needed to be able to join us on off site outings to competitions, trail rides and off site clinics. We work through pole work, showjumping, open space real world riding, mustering, western dressage and dressage. We also focus on horse care to a high level, such a show preparation, plaiting, clipping, feeding, stable care, hoof care and much more.
This class is suited to those wishing to enter the competitive world of riding and spots are limited as we supply a competition horse or pony per rider.
If your child is not quite ready for pathway we can offer private lessons to help get them there.
When - Thursday 3.45pm-5.15pm

BALLINA EQUESTRIAN CENTRE TEAM
This is our team weekly practice. We ride every Friday after school fine tuning our abilities and preparing for upcoming competitions or excursions.
This team is by assessment only due to the nature of the events we attend.

PRIVATE SHOWJUMPING LESSONS
Come with your own Horse or Pony or use ours.
I have competed internationally whilst based in the UK up to 1m50 level from my own yard. I also spent years based with Michael Whitaker (UK Olympic Show Jumper) training both on competitive strategy and bringing along young horses whilst representing his stable. I worked as a showjumping specialist coach for over 7 years and have knowledge in all aspects of the sport, from grid work, conditioning, fitness maintenance, course building, jump of strategies and more. If you are looking to explore the sport we can start from poles on the ground and go from there! Suitable for all levels.
We operate in a 75x45m arena with a full set of competition level show jumps.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMP
School holiday camp is the ultimate fun filled day of all equine activities. Days include 2 riding sessions, horse care, braiding and bathing the herd, property exploring, trail rides, team building fun, games, crafts and lots of pony cuddles.
A full day or fresh air and nature play with the horses all whilst learning the skill set involved in riding.
Pack a lunch and a spare set of clothes, pop on some closed shoes and pick them up ready for an early bed time after horsing around all day.
It's one of our favourites ! They will meet the entire herd and focus in on their riding, liberty work, herd behaviour and equine knowledge.

Price - $120 per day, $500 for 5 days.
PONY PARTIES
Pony parties are a crowd favourite.
These parties can be for any occasion, from birthdays, to end of term celebrations or family functions, you hold the reins and let us know how to help.
These include pony rides for all, party games on horse back, carrot piñatas and fun for everyone.
We have fire pits, social spaces, 80 acres, speakers, lighting, facilities, 19 horses, 28 cows, photographers, videographers, caterers and musicians all ready to assist. We can have as little or as much input as you wish.

This is a ticketed free event weekly. Please sign up for free tickets to join to help us control numbers weekly.
Community social Sundays. We open our doors to our local community for a free social Sunday. Come onsite, bring your family and friends and come enjoy our space. BYO picnic, grab a rug or picnic bench and enjoy the surrounds of horses and nature. We also invite local musicians to enjoy the space; there will be a guitar and singing circle for anyone to enjoy as well as live and playlisted music.
There will be pony rides available for the children during this time for $20 but there is no pressure to partake. Your also very welcome to bring carrots or apples to feed to the herd.
